10 Years and Counting
Bootcamp is what we are known for! For 10 years women have been getting great results with my Bootcamp classes. Now they are going to be even better with more equipment and more flexibility! We will now include Spin bikes, treadmills etc... whatever we need to get the job done.
For All Fitness Levels:
One of the biggest concerns is if Bootcamp is for everyone or do you have to be in 'great' shape to join. Fitness level DOES NOT MATTER! Bootcamp class has always been scalable which means it can be modified for anyone. That is what has made it so successful over the years.
Bootcamp is Unlimited - this means you can come as much as you want. Twice a day if you like.
We use dumbbells for many of the exercises. Most of exercises we perform are compound exercises (exercises that work more than one muscle at a time). The idea behind this is to burn more calories with each exercise. Many of the exercises will involve both upper and lower body muscles. This approach:
1) burns calories
2) builds strength
3) maintains muscle
4) builds muscular endurance
Bodyweight exercises are a big part of Bootcamp. They are used for both strength and cardio depending on the exercise. What makes bodyweight exercise so tough is that many times they require higher reps which are difficult after your muscles have been exhausted from the dumbbells exercises.
We sometimes throw cable machines into the mix during circuits. Cable machines make it easy to control your movements more-so than dumbbells. Cable machines are very versatile. They allow you to work the body at different angles. Doing drop sets on a cable machine is one of the hardest and highest calorie burning workouts you can do.
