Barbell Burpees (suicides)

This is basically a Burpee with a barbell. When it's time to get serious with burning calories, this is one of our favorite 'go-to' exercises. You can use any size plates, or even just the barbell alone.

Barbell Progression
|
Talking about serious calorie burning, this barbell progress will take your heart rate through the roof!
This barbell combination consists of a Barbell Suicide, a Pushups and Shoulder Presses. You only do 1 Barbell Suicide each cycle, but the Pushups and Presses increase by one each cycle until you can't do anymore. |
Barbell Cardio Workout

This is a barbell circuit consisting of Barbell Suicides (burpees) with a Clean and Press, through a barbell gauntlet. Just keep going until you are exhausted. Again this is a cardio workout that burns calories but preserves muscle because it consists of resistance exercises.

1 Arm Barbell Curl
|
Great exercise for your biceps. Having to balance the barbell makes the biceps along with the forearms work extra hard. You may have to 'cheat' the bar up, or have someone lift the bar for you (you then lower it under control) until you develop enough bicep strength to curl it upward on your own.
